1-A DUSSELDORF "KINGDOM BILK"
After the split with his brother, and La DÜSSELDORF in 1983, Thomas was looking for a new field of activity. In 1986 he met NILS KRISTIANSEN, a joung painter and musician and they started to record a new music. There are rumours that former CAN singer Kenji "Damo" Suzuki was with them at the start but sadly there was never any material released that could prove it. FATLIVER & KINGDOM BILK Strangely enough 1-A DÜSSELDORF released their first Album "FETTLEBER" in 1999 pressum they coudn´t find a record company for their highly experimental electronic sound. But their first effort is well worth exploring although it might take some time to discover its orginality. On that record THOMAS DINGER plays keyboard, bass and drums. (That sound sometimes like his brother´s Apache Beat) while NILS KRISTIANSEN plays guitar, keyboards and sings. Only half a year later 1-A DÜSSELDORF released their second CD "KÖNIGREICH BILK" dedicated to the district "BILK". This CD was even poppier and presented the band as a trio with STEFFEN DOMNISCH on additional synthesizer, keyboards and voices. Here you can explore sound pictures like "BAGHDAD 91", a direct reflection on the Gulf war. The band still is active an just released "DJF" in August 2000 a new record full of typical 1-A DÜSSELDORF improvisations where GUISEPPE FAVITTA on guitar replaced STEFFEN DOMNISCH and THOMAS DINGER even plays saxophon.
