1-A DUSSELDORF

FATTY LIVER (LIVER FAT)
Very diggable debut CD from 1999 by Ex-NEU/La Dusseldorf second-banana THOMAS DINGER and Partner NILS KRISTIANSEN groovin´ Kraut beats. Guitar drones, minimal-style keyboards, random noises, ocassional voices, sampled orchestral passages, sci-fi dramatics and free-float electronics - yep. In the typical NEU/La Düsseldorf anarcho-democratic spirit, the final track is a lovely ciruclar keyboard piece contributed by mastering engineer "WELKER BROKKOLI".
PYRAMIDBLAU
NILS KRISTIANSEN, VIKTORIA WEHRMEISTER and STEFFEN DOMNISCH paint the pyramid blue in memory of 1-A DÜSSELDORF Thomas Dinger (1952-2002) as you schould know. THOMAS DINGER joined his Brother Klaus Band NEU! on their classic NEU! 75 LP. Before they went on to record three more Krautrock greats under the name La Dusseldorf. in this disc, Thomas Dinger's 1-A DUSSELDORF collaborators weave beautiful, mournful, middle-eastern influenced sound patterns --- genty tugging at ay the hurt to reveal something strong and endless ben eath Goodbey it all to Mr. Ding.

How To Rid Yard Of Acorns

PHARAOHS TRAVEL

Pharaoh's musical journey - "PYRAMID BLUE" - The new CD of the Trio 1-A DUSSELDORF, is a musical journey with side trips to India. No wonder then that this music sounds like something from another world.
As beguiling, if not intoxicating the listener CD "PYRAMID BLUE" feel when he has opened for the first time. Only after he made the cosmos of sound reappears, he will wonder how such a free-floating play can take place. Specifically, some things appear fairly slanted: The guitar is struck unadorned, the rhythm bleeds in vagueness, the song meanders with Vokalismen there. These parts make enchanting collages. The songs have titles like "PYRAMID BLUE" - "FLY Pharaoh" - "PHARAOHS TRAVEL" or "BOSSA NOVA BLADDY. Together, they act like a total composition. Each number stands for itself, has a beginning and end, what is the steady flow of the music amazing. Questions, questions come to mind. How to Play the Nils Kristiansen Guitar, he also has a sitar? In which bar Steffen proposes Domnisch the drums? What languages sings Victoria Wehrmeister? Is it at the beginning of Japanese, Polish or Russian, and then finally, Serbo-Croatian? During a conversation in Nils'Düsseldorfer Studio there are a few answers. GUITAR from the dump - the three musicians sit on a sofa under a - pyramid blue - Image. A sitar he does not dare to touch even says Nils Kristiansen. From the studio corner, he gets more guitars. One of them coming from the dump in Antwerp. And he shows how he occasionally takes down all the strings, stringed instrument, the arbitrary new. Victoria sings "sentences and words that arise in this way." Not verse and chorus, as in previous bands, this was a limitation. "When I sing, it makes this moment, this surprise." She does not sing in a language to. "I've lived in Mexico, now maybe my childhood language comes to the fore," says Victoria. Perhaps they also impressed Arabic music, their songs did not understand it. Steffen worked the rhythm. "I was developing concepts such as twelve-waves," - "that's difficult if you do not work in 4 / 4 time." Again and again the name of Thomas thinks "(1952-2002). His CD is dedicated. The last track is called "FAREWELL THOMAS. Victoria can resonate with the very soft as "Thomasch. The co-founder of 1-A DUSSELDORF was the leading figure of La DUSSELDORF and NEW. About the charismatic personality, the three remaining musicians say almost simultaneously: "He was just there sometimes."

Best Drugstore Eyeshadow Base

1-A DUSSELDORF "KINGDOM BILK"

home, sweet home ....
Here is a CD begins with a very strange "Home, home on the range."
The number is indeed in the true "HOME SWEET HOME", from down under comes, is a note-Unkel title for semi-drunk nights, after which they then enjoy the rest of the night calm wegsaufen may also like ... In the outfit of 1-A DUSSELDORF the title is, of course - a extremely alienated sound experience between sentiment and spirit, between operetta and bell techno. And makes unexpected fun! 1-A DUSSELDORF, which are here THOMAS BE (once in NEW and with brother Klaus founder of La Düsseldorf), and the main professional artists NILS KRISTIANSEN, under this project name, the two multi-media since 1986 every now and then active. For her new album KINGDOM BILK brought Thomas and Nils is the keyboardist and vocal acrobats Steffen Domnisch to and from the factory with the significant title FATTY LIVER is the second album the band. What 1-A DUSSELDORF here more so than characterized the fatty liver, which is their permanent tour de force by the styles, genres and industries. Since they start with the good traditions of krautrock to create surfaces and purest purest beautiful sound, confused and overwhelmed by sudden noise attacks and avant-garde idea, can turn into passages only and exclusively groove and rhythm, and then refer to the currently valid dance hall policies. But all that happened playing with them, they sort themselves and their music quite deliberately in any genre. Conventions, they are a ekles foreign word adaptability is a trait that has not put them in the cradle. The closest you can compare their work nor to that of Faust, which their lust for destruction and their passion for have received the Scouting indeed over the years. Especially would like to commend the sky tracks SLEEP MY ANGEL, which alone justifies the purchase of this CD and in the true connoisseurs and lovers an irresistible yearning for or Hörsucht THOMAS Ding's solo CD "FOR ME" kindled. And the album ends in a lush fifteen minutes TUT ELK AMOK - rendered audible slow motion, just fascinating. WK

What To Mix With Macallan Whisky

FATLIVER
Debut CD 1-A DUSSELDORF
1-A DUSSELDORF is Thomas Dinger, who was in LA DUSSELDORF NEW and released at a classy solo album FOR ME almost 20 years ago. And 1-A DÜSSELDORF is also NILS KRISTIANSEN. Here´s a new album of theirs . It`s terrific, its hard to describe. wich is allways a good thing. Electric meddlings going at veryy high speed. You´ll be wanting comparisons and the best I can do. Gunther Schickert or decent old Tan Dream going at 50 times the intendent speed. Peppings and beats with the speedometer straining. Often gentle wafts of contr0lled wailing and groaning. Walls of SKUZZQXXY guitars and general other SKUZZQXXY-ness. Tinkly stuff, sometimes pretty, often harsh. An Album that didn`t grab me the first time, but now it´s a bit of an obsession. It does feel like it takes about three tracks till the stride is hit, that´s probably cos the 10 min. long 4th track (ROCK) is such a wounderful thing. Trobbing electronic and swayings, boppings. So is 5 (GIBSON) faster throbbinger. The title track also shines and it´s a bit of an outsider here. That semingly random handflopping over the guitars sound which still keeps ears pricked alert for your pleasure. When"FÜR MICH" was reissued on CTR it had two bonus tracks. Kostprobe 1 and 2. And on this new album there´s Kostprobe 3 the final track here. Delisesh oriental plinkering keyboards banking up and layering an stuff. The thing that never fail. It sound like a homage to Japan. Another peaceful probe of harmony in the DJF campain.

Little Tikes Music Xylophone

1-A DÜSSELDORF
KINGDOM BILK, named after a district of Düsseldorf, is the second work of the existing band since 1986. It contains an interesting mixture of elements of krautrock of the early seventies, psychedelic, avant-garde sounds that sound not a bit "retro". The instrumentation is rather conventional (guitar, bass, perc., Almost no electronics), but not the music. Sometimes the (mostly instrumental) pieces of aggressive, gritty guitar dominated ("tallow," title track), sometimes give smoother sound to the sound, such as the slightly wavy pieces "in March, the builders" and "Sleep, my angel." Even the long "Do moose amok" with its slow rhythm and the odd vocal interventions falls into this category. But there are also quite wacky things, like the completely atonal, hard "Vatter jute journey" or the bizarre sound collages "Home Sweet Home" (backed with a completely inappropriate Beck hits) and "Baghdad 91" (somewhat macabre imitation of aircraft and explosion noise) .

Lilltle Forgiveness Poems For Friends

1-A DUSSELDORF "KINGDOM BILK"

After the split with his brother, and La DÜSSELDORF in 1983, Thomas was looking for a new field of activity. In 1986 he met NILS KRISTIANSEN, a joung painter and musician and they started to record a new music. There are rumours that former CAN singer Kenji "Damo" Suzuki was with them at the start but sadly there was never any material released that could prove it. FATLIVER & KINGDOM BILK Strangely enough 1-A DÜSSELDORF released their first Album "FETTLEBER" in 1999 pressum they coudn´t find a record company for their highly experimental electronic sound. But their first effort is well worth exploring although it might take some time to discover its orginality. On that record THOMAS DINGER plays keyboard, bass and drums. (That sound sometimes like his brother´s Apache Beat) while NILS KRISTIANSEN plays guitar, keyboards and sings. Only half a year later 1-A DÜSSELDORF released their second CD "KÖNIGREICH BILK" dedicated to the district "BILK". This CD was even poppier and presented the band as a trio with STEFFEN DOMNISCH on additional synthesizer, keyboards and voices. Here you can explore sound pictures like "BAGHDAD 91", a direct reflection on the Gulf war. The band still is active an just released "DJF" in August 2000 a new record full of typical 1-A DÜSSELDORF improvisations where GUISEPPE FAVITTA on guitar replaced STEFFEN DOMNISCH and THOMAS DINGER even plays saxophon.
